Travel Fund for International Participants at ASC Annual Meeting

The Travel Fund for International Participants (TFIP) is a two-year pilot program (established in 2025) seeking to increase the diversity of attendees at our Annual Meetings. To this end, TFIP is designed to facilitate participation for international participants facing unique challenges linked to high travel costs and low institutional support for professional development at their home institutions.

The TFIP is open to individuals planning to present at our upcoming ASC conference in Chicago, IL who have a primary affiliation to an institution abroad. This includes students or faculty at universities overseas, as well as individuals working in non-profit, government, or advocacy organizations based outside of the United States. Applicants do not need to be current members of ASC.

To be eligible for TFIP support, individuals will need to complete a short online application form and upload a copy of their current CV and ASC paper or poster conference submission confirmation noting that they are first or solo presenters. Please note: An ASC membership is not required to apply; however, all applicants must create an account in the application system before submitting their application.

Up to five (5) $500 awards can be made annually. Awards also include a waiver of conference registration fees. Award decisions will be made based on the strength of the nominees’ qualifications and their statements of need/support.

All nominations materials should be submitted by June 20, 2026 in electronic format . Award decisions will be announced on June 30, 2026.

TFIP Committee: Andres F. Rengifo (Chair, Rutgers University), Stephanie DiPietro (University of Iowa), Chris Sullivan (UMSL).
