RUTH D. PETERSON FELLOWSHIP FOR RACIAL AND ETHNIC DIVERSITY

This Fellowship is designed to encourage students of color, especially those from racial and ethnic groups underrepresented in the field, to enter the field of criminology and criminal justice, and to facilitate the completion of their degrees. The goal of the DBC Student Award Fund is to recognize and support the work of exceptional graduate students conducting work related to biopsychosocial criminology. This is how you can easily and directly contribute to the future of DBC and the field of biopsychosocial criminology – every donation helps, no matter how small! Donations can be made to the Division of Convict Criminology Advancement and Improvement Fund. The fund has been established to support projects that advance the mission of the Division of Convict Criminology . The endowment will also be used to support activities dedicated to ensuring the Division of Convict Criminology can play a continuing role in promoting convict criminology. These donations will be used to support the Division’s travel and scholarship grants, division awards, as well as projects that are decided annually by the Division of Convict Criminology Executive Committee.

DIVISION ON CORRECTIONS AND SENTENCING BENJAMIN STEINER EXCELLENCE IN CORRECTIONS RESEARCH AWARD

This award was established in 2019 to acknowledge exceptional research in corrections. The award is named in honor of Benjamin Steiner, an outstanding scholar and longstanding member of DCS. Specific details and award parameters are forthcoming. Tax-deductible donations can be made to the fund. All donations will be acknowledged on the DCS website. DIVISION OF DEVELOPMENTAL AND LIFE-COURSE CRIMINOLOGY MEMBER SUPPORT FUND

We are seeking donations to support student memberships to the DLCC Division. A Student membership costs just $5 and provides online access to the Journal of Developmental and Life-Course Criminology for the year, and entry to our social event at the ASC Annual Meeting.

We will offer these sponsored memberships to students before or at the ASC Annual Meeting.

DIVISION OF EXPERIMENTAL CRIMINOLOGY AWARDS AND MENTORING PROGRAM FUND

The goal of the DEC Awards and Mentoring Program Fund is to continue to provide individual award plaques to award recipients and cash awards for the student paper award, as well as support career development. Specifically, beginning in 2018, the DEC is launching a mentoring program in which young scholars and students can be matched with more advanced scholars to promote career development despite the location of the mentors’ home institution or organization in the hopes that this will encourage both international mentorship and mentorship for those who are at different institutions and/or organizations. Donations will support an annual mentoring event at ASC each year, and the first ten donors who contribute $150 or more will be invited to attend a special mentoring event/reception. However, every donation will be recognized (no matter how small) by an acknowledgment in our monthly newsletter, on our website (https://expcrim.org), and prior to the ASC annually (anonymous donations also accepted). Tax-deductible donations can be made to the fund, which will be used to support DEC’s mentoring/career development, and awards ceremony at ASC.

The DIC Fund is a source of funding to support programs and projects aimed at advancing the mission of the Division of International Criminology. This fellowship was established in 2018 to support the work of exceptional graduate students conducting work in the field of race and crime. The fellowship is named in honor of two longstanding members of the DPCC, Helen Taylor Greene and Vernetta D. Young. In addition to their outstanding scholarship, they have provided support and mentorship to many generations of graduate students. This award recognizes and continues their efforts. DIVISION OF POLICING INITIATIVES AND AWARDS FUND

Donations can be made to the DOP Initiatives and Awards Fund. These tax-deductible donations go on to support initiatives that advance the mission of the DOP, the development of future monetary awards (student travel scholarships and/or annual member awards), and other projects that are decided upon by the DOP Executive Board.

DIVISION OF PUBLIC OPINION & POLICY DOCTORAL STUDENT SURVEY AWARD

Developed in 2022, the Division of Public Opinion & Policy Doctoral Student Survey Award is designed to fund survey research for a doctoral student. Eligible doctoral students submit survey research proposals highlighting public opinion issues within criminology criminal justice. The winning proposal will earn $1,000 to collect survey data over the next year, with the findings to be presented at the ASC Annual Meeting the following year. Tax-deductible donations can be made to the fund this award. All donors will be acknowledged on the DPOP website (www.ascdpop.org); however, donors may choose to remain anonymous.

DIVISION OF QUALITATIVE RESEARCH GRADUATE FELLOW FUND

This fund is designed to support graduate student research expenses during the Master’s thesis or dissertation stage. Qualitative research often comes with expenses such as software, transcription, archive visits, and participant incentives that can be prohibitive to conducting this kind of research.

A subcommittee of the DQR will evaluate proposals and name one or more fellows each year to support qualitative research efforts.

You may donate in the amount of your choice on the form. All proceeds from the fund will go directly to DQR members who are named graduate fellows.

DIVISION OF VICTIMOLOGY MEMBERSHIP SUPPORT FUND

The ASC Division of Victimology has created a Membership Support Fund to help early career researchers and students join both organizations. Up to five (5) awards will be granted annually to each group (early career faculty and students) and will cover both ASC organization and Division of Victimology memberships for one year.
